When St. Louis Tree Pros started business in early 2015 we wanted to do good. Of course, we wanted...
How we survived July
Not one blog since July 1!? Sorry for the silence on our blog lately, but we sure have been busy. Heat waves, emergency removals, long days, and early starts filled our business calendar this July. But luckily, a quick vacation gave us the rest we needed.
Here’s a short glimpse of what July looked like for St. Louis Tree Pros:
The first week of July was vacation time for us. We headed out to Georgia to spend some sweet time with friends, hike to waterfalls, camp, swim, pick wild blueberries and relax.
The week we got back from vacation a massive storm hit the St. Louis area. Thousands were without power for days, trees were downed in our streets, parks, and on homes. Many emergency tree removals were completed in a short time to help in the clean up effort across our city.
The most devastating removal we completed was in Kirkwood. This massive Shingle Oak crushed this garage. Luckily no one was injured. The powerful winds of this storm wrecked havoc on many neighborhoods in St. Louis. Seemingly healthy strong trees were no match for winds in excess of 65mph!
July also marked our first month with the new truck! No more digging out the chips at the end of a long hot day, this one dumps itself.
We made another donation to the Arbor Day Foundation in July, making our total so far for the year 785 trees planted!! We will be mailing out more postcards to customers in early September when we make another donation. Our days are sweeter when we love what we do, and can give a little back.
